Concept Introduction:

 Cloning is the modification of DNA in fertilized eggs to produce genetically-engineered organisms. Scientists have conducted cloning experiments on different animals.

 The cloning of embryos has been successful in animals. Adult organisms have also been cloned in mammals including cattle, pigs and mice.
