The process by which sperm cells develop is called spermatogenesis. In humans, spermatogenesis takes place in seminiferous tubules. They are a sophisticated system of tubules in the testes where spermatogenesis occurs. The seminiferous tubules of an adult human can produce over 100 million sperms per day.
