Chlorosomes are photosynthetic apparatus present in Green sulfur bacteria (GSB). These structures channelize energy into the photosystem that ultimately results in the synthesis of ATP (adenosine triphosphate). Chlorosomes are very efficient in harvesting light, therefore it allows GSB to grow at low intensities of light.
