Introduction: The digestive system is composed of the mouth, salivary glands, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, pancreas, liver, gall bladder, colon, rectum, and anus. In the mouth, intaken food starts to get digested by saliva through chewing. The chewed food is then passed to the stomach through the esophagus. The stomach secretes enzymes that tend to digest complex food particles into smaller particles that are absorbed by the small intestine. The waste particles are transported into the large intestine and expelled through the anus.
