Question
Chapter 15, Problem 21P
Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation:
The amount of energy in kilojoules which is supplied to convert one mol of carbon dioxide and two mole of hydrogen into methane and oxygen should be identified.
Concept introduction:
The burning of methane in presence of oxygen is known as combustion and it is an exothermic reaction. In exothermic reaction energy is released. The reverse reaction will be endothermic and same amount of heat will be absorbed if two moles of water react with one mole of carbon dioxide to give one moles of methane and two moles of oxygen gas.
