The location of $\text{C=C}$ stretch in the IR spectrum of $\text{hept-3-ene}$ in figure $\text{15-16b}$ is to be indicated.

Concept introduction:

For alkene, the $\text{C=C}$ stretch in the IR spectrum region is ${\text{1620-1680 cm}}^{\text{-1}}$. IR spectrum of $\text{hept-3-ene}$.

The $\text{C=C}$ stretch band is essentially absent because of the greater symmetry about the $\text{C=C}$ double bond.
