Summary Introduction

To list: Spinal nerves that form the sacral plexus.

Concept introduction: Thirty-one pairs of nerves that arise from the spinal cord are called as spinal nerves. The spinal nerve after exiting through the intervertebral foramen splits into two primary branches called as anterior and posterior rami. Anterior ramus forms nerve plexus. The network of the interweaving anterior rami of spinal nerves is called as nerve plexus. Nerve plexus helps in the transmission of the signals from the spinal cord. It is divided into various types of cervical, brachial, lumbar, and sacral plexuses.
