Calculation :

Probability of getting yellow marbles = $\frac{6}{16+2+6}=\frac{6}{24}=\frac{1}{4}$

Let $x$ yellow marbles should be added;

  $\begin{array}{l}\therefore \frac{6+x}{24+x}=2\times \frac{1}{4}\\ \frac{6+x}{24+x}=\frac{1}{2}\\ 12+2x=24+x\\ \boxed{x=12}\end{array}$
