Introduction:

The brain along with the spinal cord forms the central nervous system (CNS) of the body. The brain as well as the spinal cord are encased within a protective case known as meninges. The brain is also surrounded by a bony structure, cranium, which provides additional protection to the soft delicate tissues of the brain.
