Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

Two alloys Ti-15% V and Ti-35% V are heated at the lowest temperature at which $\beta$ phase formsthen they are quenched and reheatedupto ${300}^0\text{C}$. The changes in microstructure during heat treatment of each alloy as well as the amount of phase included needs to be decribed.

Concept Introduction:

A matrix is a metal composite with a minimum of 2 composite materials among which one should be metal compulsorily and other remaining can be metals or cannot be like ceramic compound, organic compound, etc.

A matrix consists of one reinforcement which is embedded into it and due to structural applications, the matrix is usually lighter metal and provides compliant support for reinforcement. Precipitation or precipitate is a solid form obtained from a solution when it is mostly filtered. In the case of liquid solutions, the solid formed particles obtained are called as precipitant.

Age hardening also called as precipitation hardening is a heat treatment process used to determine the improvised strength of metals and alloys as desired.
