Chapter 13, Problem 8CP
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The area of spinal cord that would be affected if the myelin sheaths are damaged.
Introduction:
Myelin sheaths are a covering that protects the axons. They provide insulation to the axon by multiple layers of myelin. The myelin is provided by the Schwann cells. Axons are the trunk of the neurons through which electrical signals pass and reach the dendrites. Myelin sheath makes sure that the signals are transferred without any hindrances.
