Summary Introduction

Introduction:

The nervous system must read and permit both the qualitative and quantitative information around its environment—whether a light is bright or dim, blue or red; whether the taste is intense or mild, spicy, or salty; AND whether sound is soft or loud, low-pitched, or high pitched. The way in which the nervous system converts the information to action potential is called as neural coding. If the neural coding occurs in sensory organs, it is called as sensory coding.
