Introduction:

A normal cell will undergo all the phases of the cell cycle, that is, two gap phases (G1 and G2), synthesis phase (S), and mitosis phase (M) in a controlled manner. While cancerous cells undergo the cell cycle in an uncontrolled manner. Growth factors are proteins required for the growth in the living cells. Asynchronous cultures or cell cultures contain cells that are all in the different growth stages.
