Concept Introduction:

The central nervous system–depressant drugs are a sedative, hypnotic, and tranquilizer. The important function of the central nervous system–depressant drug is to decrease the activity of the brain that helps in treating sleep disorders and anxiety. Sleep is defined as the state of rest that reduces the physical activity and consciousness. The architecture of sleep contains two elements that occur cyclically, which include rapid eye movement sleep and non-rapid eye movement sleep.
