Chapter 12, Problem 2PC
Program Plan Intro

Average Number of Letters

Program Plan:

  • Include the required header files to the program.
  • Declare function prototype which is used in the program.
  • Define the “main()” function.
    • Declare the required variables.
    • Get the input c-string from the user and call the function “word_count”.
    • Print the c-string words count and average of the letters in each word.
    • Get the input string object from the user and call the function “word_count”.
    • Print the string object words count and average of the letters in each word.
  • Define the “word_count” function.
    • Declare the variable.
    • The “while” loop is used to count the number of words in that string.
      • The “while” loop is used to ignore the whitespaces.
      • The “if” loop is used to count the words.
      • The “while” loop is used to move to next word.
      • Calculate the average of the letters.
    • Finally return the words count and average to the main function.
  • Define the “word_count” function.
    • Declare the variable.
    • Get the length of the string.
    • The “for” loop is used to count the number of words in that string object.
      • The “if” condition is used to ignore the whitespaces. Otherwise it is used count the words.
      • The “if” condition is used to determine the words.
      • Calculate the average of the letters.
    • Finally return the words count and average to the main function.

Average Number of LettersModify the program you wrote for Problem 1 (Word Counter) so it also displays theaverage number of letters in each word.
Python question Application: Python Fragment Formulation (Q1 – Q4) In this group of questions you are asked to produce short pieces of Python code. When you are asked to "write a Python expression" to complete a task, you can either give the expression in one line or break down the task into several lines. The last expression you write must represent the required task. Question 1 (Reduce parentheses) Give an equivalent version of this expression by removing as many redundant parentheses as possible, without expanding the brackets or simplifying.        (x**(2**y))+(y*((z+x)**3))     Question 2 (Translate arithmetic concept into Python) You are given a list of numbers, named numbers, containing 3 integers. Write a python expression (one line) that evaluates to True if and only if the product of any two numbers in the given list is greater than the sum of all three numbers.  Note: the product of two numbers, x and y is x*y.     Question 3 (List/table access) You are given a table,…
Pythom:  Least Common Multiple, Greatest Common Factor (Grade Factor 1) This assignment assess problem solving ability and the use of the modulo operator, functions, lists and nested loops.   The Modulo (%) operator returns a remainder of the two numbers divided.  e.g. 9 % 2 will yield a 1 because 9/2 = 4 and the remainder is 1.   Write one program that will compute both the Least Common Multiple, and the Greatest Common Factor of two random numbers between 2 and 30. The program will display all factors and multiples of the two numbers.   When displaying the multiples of the numbers, only display up to the first input times the second input.   Use functions to compute the answers.   Loop the program so that the user try again.  create the loop so that hitting enter will continue.   The example is below: Integer1: 12Integer2: 3 The Multiples of 3 are 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36, The Multiples of 12 are 12, 24, 36, The lowest common Multiples is 12 The Factors of 3 are…
