The types of the cells present in the B cell (lymphocytes maturing in the bone marrow) clone and their function.

Introduction:

Binding of an antigen to B-cell receptor on the naïve B cell’s surface leads to its activation. Activated B cells undergo clonal selection and multiply rapidly to form B cells of same antigen specificity. The resulting family of the identical cells arises from the common ancestor known as a clone.
