Summary Introduction
The almond-shaped glands that are located on both sides of the uterus are called ovaries. It possesses tiny, sac-like structures called graffian follicles, each enclosing an ovum. The matured ovum migrates to the surface of the ovary and gets ruptured and releases the ovum. The oviducts are also referred to as fallopian tubes or uterine tubes. They laterally extend from the superior angles of the uterus. It carries the ovum from the ovaries to the uterus.
