But, in RNA thymine nucleotide is replaced by uracil (U) nucleotide. DNA is double helical twisted ladder-like structure, whereas RNA is single-stranded structure. DNA stores and transfers genetic information from parent to offspring, whereas RNA helps in protein synthesis.
