The constitutents of the quadriceps femoris muscles.
Introduction:
The skeletal muscle contains muscle fibers having protein filaments of actin and myosin which engage in the formation of a cross-bridge. The cross-bridge results in the contraction of muscles and the length of sarcomere reduces. The contraction of muscles occurs due to the generated action potential over the membrane of the cell.
