The difference between glycoprotein and lectin is identified by looking at their various functioning parameters. Glycoprotein is a protein which has groups of carbohydrate attached to the polypeptide chain. Lectin is the class of protein which is bound by carbohydrates and the macromolecules that are specific for sugar moieties of other molecules.
