Interpretation:

The value of enthalpy change of vaporization (ΔHvap) for carbon disulfide is to be calculated.

Concept introduction: The pressure exerted by the liquid’s vapors at particular temperature is known as vapor pressure. The temperature at which the vapor pressure of liquid is equal to the external or atmospheric pressure, is known as the boiling point of that liquid. With the increase in temperature of liquid, the vapor pressure of that liquid increases. The amount of energy required for such vaporization is calculated by the enthalpy change of vaporization.

To determine: The value of enthalpy change of vaporization (ΔHvap) for carbon disulfide.
