Interpretation: A galvanic cell and its working needs to be explained.
Concept introduction: A device which the free energy of a physical and chemical process is converted into electrical energy is known as galvanic cell. Such cell consists of two electrodes immersed in one or more suitable electrolytes.

Explanation of Solution
The structure of galvanic cell is as follows:
In this cell two electrons are immersed in the solution of two compartments. Two solutions are connected through a wire. At last two solutions are connected salt bridge. After the connection is made, current starts following as indicated by the ammeter. No current flows when the metal rods are disconnected or the salt bridge is taken out due to the reaction ceases.
