There are several ethical and social issues that are related to self-driving car technology as follows:

• The most important is the possibility of a failure or accident. The incorrect identification of driving conditions can affect the passenger safety as well as the street users like pedestrians, cyclists, and other cars.
• Convincing of users that autonomous cars and their artificial intelligence are trustworthy. And their safety is as similar or better than human errors. An Uber self-driving car on road test, got into an accident and resulted in death of a woman.
• Adaptability of self-driving cars to changing weather conditions, road barriers, and so on...
