Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

The way in which the factors such as cloud temperature, particle density, and particle velocity affect the rotational spectrum of $\text{CO}$ in an interstellar cloud have to be stated.  The new features observed in the spectrum of $\text{CO}$ when a gas is ejected from near a star with a temperature of $1000\text{K}$ as compared to gas in a cloud of temperature $10\text{K}$ has to be stated.  The way in which these new features may be used to distinguish between circumstellar and interstellar material has to be stated.

Concept introduction:

Rotational spectra is observed when molecules rotate.  It is observed only in the gas phase.  It is used to give information about molecules such as bond length, bond angle and dipole moment.
