Question
Chapter 11, Problem 10RQ
Program Plan Intro
Math instruction:
- Math instructions refer to all output instructions that uses the data of two words or registers and perform the desired function.
- Math instructions are program based on the type of processor used.
- The data manipulation instructions are almost similar to math instructions.
- The math instruction allows the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to take more of conventional computer qualities.
- Math instructions are normally used to perform arithmetic functions on the values stored in memory words or registers.
Clear instruction:
- The clear instruction is used to set or reset all the bits of the word in the destination to zero.
- It is denoted as CLR.
Destination:
- Destination refers to the address where the results of the instruction are stored.
- For example, if 1+1=2; then the value 2 is automatically stored in the destination address location.

The main method then calls another method named printMatrix() to display the matrix in a matrix format. d. The main method also calls a method named findSumAndAverage() which: • Receives the generated matrix as input. • Calculates the sum of all elements in the matrix. • Calculates the average value of the elements in the matrix. • Stores these values (sum and average) in a single-dimensional array and returns this array • e.
