Introduction:

The lateral rotators are a grouped into six small muscles of the hip involved in rotating the femur in the hip joint. They are, gemellus superior, gemellus inferior, obturator externus, obturator internus, piriformis, and quadratus femoris muscles. These rotator muscles play an important role in pelvis stability and hip rotation.
