Introduction:

The muscular system occupies half of a human’s body weight and plays an important role in the regulation of posture, contraction, movement of internal organs, force, and motion. Muscles are classified into three major groups, namely skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscles. The main functions of muscles are given below:

• Movement,
• Stability,
• Control of body openings and passages,
• Heat production,
• Glycemic control.
