Concept Introduction: A polymer is defined as the macromolecule or a large molecule, which comprises of several repeated sub-units, called as monomers. Polymers can be both, natural as well as synthetic. Polymers are formed by a process referred to as polymerization of monomers.

For example, polypropylene is more by the polymerization of monomer propylene. The following show the repeating unit in polymer polypropylene.
