Introduction:
Newton’s first law of motion states that a body in state of rest stays at rest or in motion till an external force is applied. This property of any body is called as its inertia.
If the string holding the can, breaks, the can follows a straight path because no force acts on the can. Due to this lack of force, the can moves in the direction of the velocity which is always tangential to the circular path. The motion of the can is determined by Newton’s first law.
