Concept introduction:

The nucleophile is strongly attracted to the region of positively charged species. The full form of SN2 is substitution nucleophilic bimolecular. Oxetanes are four-membered ring ethers that can open via a nucleophilic attack in neutral or basic conditions. Oxetanes generally open by using a very strong base such as alkyllithium reagent(R-Li) and Grignard reagent(R-MgX).
