Chapter 1, Problem 4DYKB
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The orientation planes are imaginary planes that provide the location of the organs or regions in the body with respect to the other. The orientation planes help to have the order of the organs separated by the planes. They can be visualized by using the XYZ coordinate system. It makes the study of anatomy easier. The three orientation planes are the axial, sagittal, and coronal planes.

Check out a sample textbook solutionStudents have asked these similar questions
The median plane is
A vertical plane that bisects the body into right and left halves
Any plane at right angles to both the median and frontal planes
Any plane parallel to the median plane
None of the above
When the human body is in anatomic position, the following statements are true: (please choose all answers that apply)
The palms of the hands are facing anterior
The arms are above the person's head
The feet are flat on the floor
The person is lying down
How do I understand the basics of anatomy? I am having difficulties understanding the superior and inferior that involve "posterior to anterior" or "lateral to media" or proximal to distal, and switching them. Can you please help me get knowledge about it
