  • Strategic helps to make decision for long term objective whereas tactical helps to take decision for short term objective.
  • Tactics helps to achieve goal or objective whereas Strategic helps to set the overall plan, which involve objects, critical operational activities.
  • In Strategic, decision are taken by higher level of management whereas in tactics, decision are taken by middle level of management.
  • In Strategic, decision are based on the market demands which is unstructured or we have partial knowledge about the plan whereas In Tactics, decision are based on launching distribution channels, arranging workflow as well as procurement of resources like men, materials and capital.
  • In Strategic, we plan “what” we do whereas In Tactics, we plan “How” we do. Tactics are more flexible than Strategic but it didn’t work to launch new objective frequently.
  • Strategic helps to build organization by introducing new product and objectives whereas Tactics helps to complete day to day action that set to complete the task.
