Residual entropy :   The calculated molar entropy if differs from experimental entropy , then the difference of these two is called residual entropy. 

This term come from the third law of thermodynamics which states that - Entropy of a perfectly pure crystalline solid at zero kelvin is zero.

e.g. CO is diatomic molecule whose perfectly crystals and its entropy is expected to be zero at zero kelvin. But actually in zero kelvin it does not form a perfect crystals , the actual crystal is very random in its organization.
