America’s Gilded Age was a period of increasing industrial capitalism and an economic boon driven by immigrants and settlers in the regions. However, the downside of this industrialization was frequent accidents at the workplace which led to the formation of Unions. Such worker Unions became the main force for demanding workplace safety and a rise in wages commensurate with the hours worked.
