In glycosylation sugars or carbohydrate molecules are added to the translated sequence of amino acids. usually two common aminoacids involved in glycosylation are serine and threonine which possess hydroxyl ( OH ) groups that can serve as attachment sites for carbohydrate molecules.
in phosphorylation, phosphate group (Po4) is added to the translated aminoacid chain. the most suitable amino acids for phosphorylation are serine , threonine and tyrosine
