What makes good parenting successful
The main purpose of good parenting is to bring a mentally robust and responsible child who will be ready to face the real challenges of life in later years. Good parenting means a good relationship with a child from a very young age. Good parents help develop empathy, honesty, self-reliance, kindness, cheerfulness. When a child has good qualities, they will become achievers and resilient. A warm bonding between child and parents protect the child from anxiety, depression and antisocial behaviour.
There is no successful, perfect parenting. Everyone has different backgrounds, which indeed affects their output as parents. Nevertheless, every parent strives to become effective.
Rules must be imposed - Parents must enforce rules and regulations to develop discipline and values. Children must be aware of the rules and consequences of following them, whether positive or negative. When children follow the rules, appreciate appropriately and when they misstep the rules, discipline them along with the reasons to do it. Sometimes parents need to be flexible in imposing the rules.
Effective communication is necessary - Regular conversations in the family gives the child a feeling of security and warmth. An open environment in the family helps the child put out all concerned thoughts in a better way. In addition, a good and warm response from the parents helps the child become a good decision-maker.
