Introduction:
We all know that ,cancer is an abnormal growth and uncontrolled division of cells that spreads in the body and surrounding tissue. Cancerous cells have lost the property of contact inhibition due to which they show uncontrolled growth. There are different approaches for treatment of cancer which includes surgery, radiation therapy , immunotherapy and chemotherapy.
Immunotherapy involves the use of anticancer immunological defence mechanism. Substance such as Alpha interferon are given which activate immune system and destroy tumors. Anti-telomerase is also an immunotherapy which helps in destruction of cancerous cells.
