There are many reasons to see why diversity is truly important, some being: it promotes company culture, it creates a stronger workplace for employees and clients, it helps fight off any biases and could potentially maintain a good reputation for a company. “When diversity is very high, employees are more likely to develop a shared identity in the organization’s culture instead of relying on their own national culture.”(287). The text is able to acknowledge after doing research that because of diverse workplaces, employees are able to maintain almost an open mind because of the different cultures being represented in the workplace and ideas being provided/shared. Diversity is something that can be considered bad to some but in reality it is very good and important to maintain a diverse society in order to provide positivity and healthy environments for all. Luckily, today, the workforce has changed quite a lot. Diversity is more important in the workplace today than it was in the past when there were a lot of segregation issues, whether it being racial or gender. This has been able to make many workplaces successful due to a balance of different shared work knowledge and cultures.
