Question:- The required dose of chromic oxide (10 g)
is impregnated on cellulose or paper, and enclosed it
in a gelatin capsule and administered to the
experimental animals. The preliminary period should
be at least 10 days and collection period should be 7
days. Collect at least 50 grab samples of faeces
from each animal. To overcome diurnal variation,
collect randomly in the pasture or pen. If more than
one animal is in a pasture, coloured polyethylene
particles may be administered to the animals so that
the faeces may be distinguished from one animal to
another. Diets and faeces samples of individual
lambs were dried separately at 60°C. Chromic oxide
was estimated in the diet and faeces samples.
Based on the data give below calculate the apparent
digestibility when chromic oxide was administrated
according to the situation given above.
