PRODUCT-PERFORMANCE-PROCEDURE
A. Each student shall write an ORIGINAL flash fiction that features an incident in the life of a character suffering due to or is
oppressed by the unjust social system. (refer to the lesson on Marxism)
B. As in flash fictions, the story should be less than 1500 words. It has to be written in English. (see links provided for flash fiction
writing)
C. The title of the piece must be the name of the main character. Students are advised to make sure that the names chosen have
symbolic significance.
D. Submission shall be handwritten (January 5, Friday). Once checked, each one shall be posted in the FB group for the section. The
post should be accompanied by downloaded illustrations to complement the post. (an example shall be given in the fb group)
E. Students are reminded that the use of Al in writing can be detected and verified. The teacher knows how each of you writes,
including your tendencies in terms of vocabulary. Please use this opportunity to practice your creativity, instead of cheating for
grades.
F. The end product shall be a printed copy of each story, all of which shall be bound as an anthology. (details to be provided in the
future)
FLASH FICTION - STANDARDS
Theme (15) - How well did the story do justice to the theme of giving voice to the
voiceless? How well does it forward the advocacy by capturing the intent letting readers
feel the struggles of the oppressed?
Parameters (15) - How well did the story follow the technical expectations for flash
fictions? How well does it follow the particulars mentioned in the procedure?
Storytelling (15) - How clear was the storytelling? How well does it follow the
conventions of a story (does it read like a story or like an essay?)
Discipline (5) - How well did the story follow the submission parameters?
