Aliasing
The effect by which various signals become identical or indistinguishable when tested or sampled is known as aliasing. During the digital sampling of any sound or any other signal, distortions are produced. These distortions in the sampled signals are a result of aliasing. Due to this, the reconstructed signals become different from that of the original signals. In the case of digital image processing, the aliasing occurs when the sampling of the signal is done at a frequency lesser than twice the highest frequency present in the signal.
Aliasing
Aliasing is the process distortion that takes place when the signal is reconstructed from the provided sample and is different from the original continuous signal.
