The paclitaxal is the chemotherapeutic drug which is used to treat various types of cancer such as ovarian cancer, lung cancer, cervival cancer, breast cancer and pancreatic cancer. In 1971, it was first isolated from the Pacific yew and it is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for medical use in 1993. It is supplemented through intravenous injection.
