Expert Solution

Step 1: Principle of IR spectroscopy
IR spectroscopy is a powerful tool for qualitative and quantitative analysis of organic and inorganic compounds.
Infrared spectroscopy (IR spectroscopy) uses infrared radiation to study the vibrations of molecules. Absorption of infrared radiation by a molecule results from a change in dipole moment as the molecule vibrates. Different modes of vibration of the molecule correspond to different frequencies of contraction, and can be used to determine which functional groups are present in the molecule
