Shown are results of clinical FACS analysis of a normal individual and a patient with X-linked agammaglobulinemia (XLA). Blood lymphocytes from these two patients were incubated with antibodies that recognize the B-cell marker CD19 and the T-cell marker CD3 and then sorted by flow cytometry. Which patient is healthy? Please select.

CD3
O Patient on the right is healthy and patient on the left has a disease. Blood lymphocytes from an individual on
the left show only binding to antibodies against the T-cell marker CD3. This indicates an absence of B cells in
this patient.
Both patients are ill because they do not have cells that are positive for both the CD3 and CD19 markers.
O Patient on the left is healthy and patient on the right has a disease. Blood lymphocytes from an individual on
the left show a large number of T-cells with CD3 marker and a lower concentration of B-cells, which is normal.
