Setting out Right Angles:
Introduction:
While setting out a building plan, it is usually made up of basic geometric figures such as rectangles, squares, and triangles. For the ease of construction and to keep a minimum cost, most of the buildings are divided into basic geometric figures. Basically, the squares and rectangles have a 90o angles at the corners. And the 90o need to be set out properly and several methods are employed and one among them is the 3:4:5 method using tape.
3:4:5 Method:
This method uses Pythagoras' theorem, where a triangle having sides of 3m, 4m, and 5 m, makes a perfect 90o at the corner. By using this 3:4:5 method, it is easier to set out a right angle at the corner of the square or rectangle.
