Question
  1. During research examining taste aversion, Dr. A gave half his rats water sweetened with saccharin followed by an injection with an immunosuppressant drug, cyclophosphamide, which caused nausea. The other rats received no drugs. Through classical conditioning, the rats learned to avoid the saccharin water. Later, when Dr. A force fed the saccharin water to the rats, some of the rats who associated the sweetened water with the drug began to get sick and die. This result was unexpected and led to other discoveries that helped create the field of psychoneuroimmunology, which explores how the nervous system affects the immune system.
