Aspirational Ethics are those norms which may not be considered as must but can be very effective in the counselling sessions as in the session the counselor not only follow the standard ethics but also does extra services in order to treat the client. Extra services means providing extra care or may form an inspiration for the client.
Sometimes, the counselors values must be interfere while giving treatment to the client, and therefore, it is essential for the counselors to put aside their values for sometimes and just listen to the client objectively. This process is called as Bracketing.
Number of clients having different cultures, values, norms may visit to the counselor to solve their issues or problems, therefore it is the essential ability of the counselor to respect each culture, the norms of their society while giving them counseling. This is known as diversity culture-competence.
