Pakistan Group of Industries (PGI) is having chain of industries at one of the big cities of Pakistan, having more than 3000 employees in all factories. You are the HR Manager of the Pakistan Group of Industries and having all employee data at ERP system but due to some reason ERP is not working, you can only import data to EXCEL. IT persons are living far away from company and have net issue at their area. GM of the company calls you for a meeting and handover the excel sheet to you which contains information of 3000 employees with below column: 1. Employee Number. 2. Employee Name 3. Employee Date of Joining 4. Employee Address 5. Availed Company’s Residence 6. Designation 7. Employees Email ID. You are assigned below tasks and you have only 1 hour time to complete all these: 1. Employs living in company’s residence and age less than 45 years have to come on duty. We have to send letter to each employee. 2. Employs living outside the company’s residence will not come on duty; we have to send letter to each employee. 3. All employs who have to come on duty will be given Rs. 1000/day extra salary, we have to send a memo to Finance with employee list. 4. Production manager, security manager, Procurement Manager and HR manager has to must come on duty and you have to search their details from excel sheet, please mention how could you search these designations in large data. 5. In absence of IT Manager, Nasir (HR Assist) came to you and inform you that as he has installed MS Office 2016, after that his desktop system get very slow. You have other vacant systems in office. What would you suggest to change / upgrade in Nasir’s desktop system so that at least he could work efficiently.
