Question

I received the solution for my question and it is not what I asked for. It has to be similar to my assignment and it has to be in global method, global variable.

My question was I have half way solved my assignment and needed to add two more colors and once I've added the new items from the inverted dictionary to total at least up to six items.

I need to create an input file with my original three items or more items and add at least three new items, for a total of at least six items.

This is your answer from Batleby.  I don't want this solution. I need the one that is attached to this message continued and solved as similar to my assignment as possible in global method, global variable, just like mine, please.

This is your answer from Batleby.

# initialising dictionary
color = {'white': 'orange', 'pink' : 'blue'}

# print initial dictionary
print("initial dictionary : ", str(color))

# inverse mapping using dict comprehension
#inv_dict = {v: k for k, v in color.items()}
invert_dict = dict(zip(color.values(), color.keys()))

# print final dictionary
print("inverse mapped dictionary : ", str(invert_dict))

#update with another dictionary , here another dictionary is color1
color1 = {'red' : 'black' ,'green' : 'yellow'}
color.update(color1)
print("Updated dictionary using another dictionary: ", str(color))

#update without another dictionary
color.update(brown = 'peacock green')
print("Updated dictionary : ")
print(color)
