Palm oil is one of the most widely used oil for cooking. In order to gain more profits many dealers mix pal  oil with some adulterants that give it a bright color and increase the volume of the oil by mixing many fat soluble dyes in them. These dyes are fat soluble, low cost, easily available which make them viable for mixing it in the oil. These dyes are azo dyes which are used to give color to many things like paint, tiles etc. But these dyes are proven to be carcinogenic hence the use of this azo dye is banned.
